The present Petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been filed seeking quashing of FIR No.257/2023, under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC, registered at Police Station Jagatpuri, New Delhi. 2.
Learned Counsel for the Petitioners has submitted that the matrimonial dispute between Petitioner No.1 - husband and Respondent No.2-wife has been amicably resolved in terms of Settlement Deed dated 07.10.2024.

Respondent No.2, who is the Complainant of FIR in question, submits that in terms of settlement, she has already received a sum of Rs.5Lacs from Petitioner No.1-huband towards full and final settlement of matrimonial disputes.

It is submitted that pursuant to settlement, the parties have obtained divorce by mutual consent and Decree of Divorce has been granted by the learned Family Court on 23.12.2024.

Respondent No.2 submits that she has no objection to the quashing of FIR in question.

Considering the fact that the parties have amicably settled their disputes in terms of Settlement Deed dated 07.10.2024 and Decree of Divorce has been granted by the learned Family Court on 23.12.2024, no fruitful purpose would be served in continuing with the proceedings arising out of FIR in question.

Accordingly, and consequential proceedings arising therefrom, are hereby quashed.

The present Petition and pending Application are accordingly disposed of.
