By way of the present petition filed under Section 29A(4) & (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, the petitioner seeks extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a period of six months for concluding the Arbitral proceedings and passing the Award. 4.

The arbitrator was appointed by this court in the petition under Section 11 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act on 26.02.2021. 5.

The pleadings were completed on 26.07.2022. extended with the consent of the parties in accordance with Section 29A(3) of the Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal has expired on 25.01.2024.

Learned counsel for the respondent accepts notice and submits that the respondent has no objection to the prayer made in the petition. 9.

Learned counsels for the parties submit that the mandate may be extended by six months for concluding the Arbitral Proceedings and passing the Award.

10. Considering the aforesaid request and the no objection given by the other side, the present petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a period of six months from today. Further, the period lapsed from 25.01.2024 till date is regularised.

11. The present petition is disposed of alongwith miscellaneous applications.
