The present petition seeks a limited relief viz. that the respondent no.1, the learned District Magistrate, Shahadra be directed to expeditiously dispose of the petitioner's eviction application under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, read with the Delhi Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens (Amendment) Rules, 2016, bearing Eviction No.171/2022.

It is noticed that the matter has a chequered history; the eviction application filed by the petitioner was dismissed vide order dated 14.09.2023. Thereafter, the Appellate Authority, vide order dated 07.02.2024 set aside the aforesaid order dated 14.09.2023 and remanded the The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. case for fresh consideration by the learned District Magistrate. 5.

Thereafter, on 15.10.2024, orders were reserved by the learned District Magistrate. The petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that orders have not yet been pronounced by the District Magistrate. 6.

Learned counsel for the respondent no.1 submits that the requisite orders shall be issued by the concerned District Magistrate expeditiously. The said statement is taken on record.

Considering the aforesaid, no further orders are required to be passed in the present petition except to request the learned District Magistrate to dispose of the aforesaid eviction petition [Eviction No.171/2022] as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of six weeks from today.
