O R D E R

These eight revision petitions arise from the common judgment dated 17.12.2025 passed by the Appellate Court, which affirmed the judgments of conviction dated 28.03.2025 and the orders on sentence dated 28.04.2025 rendered by the Trial Court. By the said judgments, the petitioner was convicted for offences under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, and sentenced to undergo simple imprisonment for a period of two months, alongwith a direction to pay compensation to the respondent in each case, with a further sentence of simple imprisonment for a period of six months, in default of payment. 2.

Further to the order dated 21.04.2026, I am informed that the parties have entered into a settlement agreement dated 23.04.2026. A copy of the agreement has also been placed on record. It provides for payment for the sum of Rs. 14,00,000/- by the petitioner to the respondent. Although the agreement is signed on behalf of respondent by his counsel, the respondent is also present on video conference and confirms that the entire sum has been received by him. 3.

judgment of conviction and sentence be set aside and the criminal proceedings be compounded in terms of the settlement agreement. 4.

In view of the settlement dated 23.04.2026, the impugned judgments of conviction and sentence passed by the learned Magistrate's Court dated 28.03.2025 and 28.04.2025, as well as the judgment of the appellate Court dated 17.12.2025 are set aside, and the offence under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, is compounded, in terms of the settlement agreement.

The petitions are disposed of in terms of the above. 6.

The bail bonds stand discharged.
