The present petition under Sections 10 and 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 seeks the following prayer:- "(i) Initiate the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 for noncompliance of judgment dated 19.09.2024 passed by this Hon'ble Court in W.P. (C) No. 5996/2017 titled as 'Shyam Lal & Ors Vs Union of India & Ors';

(ii) Pass such other orders as it may deem fit to this Hon'ble Court in the facts and circumstances of the case."

Learned counsel for the respondents has handed over in Court today an order dated 17.11.2025 in SLP (C) Diary No. 58805/2025 titled as "Union of India & Ors. v. Sat Pal & Ors.", whereby the Hon'ble Supreme Court admitted the SLP against the judgment dated 19.09.2024 in W.P.(C) No. 5987/2017.

The present petition has been filed alleging non-compliance of the aforesaid judgment.
