On 07.03.2025, the petition was adjourned to 21.08.2025. It was, however, taken up in the interregnum on 21.07.2025, as it was identified as a "Targeted Matter" under the "Model Action Plan for Reduction of Arrears in High Courts". There was no appearance on behalf of the petitioner on 21.07.2025 or even on the date fixed, i.e. 21.08.2025. The matter was adjourned until today to enable her to appear. 3.
At my request, Mr. Karan Prakash, learned counsel for the respondent - Jawaharlal Nehru University ["the University"], has W.P.(C) 2358/2023 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. contacted the learned counsel on record, for the petitioner. However, the counsel has not entered appearance, even today. 4.
Mr. Prakash submits that, in any event, the petition has been rendered infructuous as the impugned report of the Fact Finding Committee dated 28.09.2021 has ultimately led to disciplinary proceedings against the petitioner, which culminated in an order of termination dated 21.04.2025. The petitioner challenged the said termination in W.P.(C) 7682/2025. A copy of the order dated 29.05.2025 passed in the said writ petition has been handed up to the Court, which shows that the petitioner was relegated to her remedies of review under Section 11(2) of the Jawaharlal Nehru University Act, 1966. 5.
In these circumstances, the writ petition, alongwith pending applications, is dismissed for non-prosecution.
