The appeal had reached for hearing yesterday. None had appeared for the appellant and thus the matter was retained on Board with a telephonic communication sent to Mr.Mohit Mathur, Senior Advocate because he had filed a vakalatnama executed in his favour by the appellant when appellant was admitted to bail.

Learned Senior Counsel informs that when he was designated as a senior counsel a communication was sent to the appellant informing him of said fact, with a request to engage a lawyer and through him file a vakalatnama. Learned senior counsel informs that the family members of the appellant informed him that they are not interested in the appeal for the reason the appellant has expired.

Learned APP for the State shall verify the said assertion and would CRL.A. 772/2000
file a status report.
