On 17.10.2022, the statement of respondent no. 2 got recorded under Section 164 of Cr.P.C. On 26.12.2022, chargesheet was filed in this case before the concerned court. 7.
On a query made by this Court, respondent no. 2 who has been identified by the IO, categorically stated that considering the age of the petitioner and the apologies tendered by him, along with the intervention of friends and respectable members of the society the respondent no. 2 has voluntarily and without any pressure or coercion from anyone settled all their issues and disputes with the petitioner and out of her own free will have entered into compromise/MoU/Settlement dated 01.02.2025, the same is on record bearing signatures of respondent no. 2. However, the signatures have been masked to prevent revealing her identity. The settlement was arrived at between the parties without any monetary or any other consideration. Respondent no. 2 further states that she has no objection if the present FIR is quashed.

In view of the above facts, the parties have amicably resolved their differences out of their own free will and without any coercion. Further, this Court is of the opinion that the present matter is a family matter, and that no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather it would create further acrimony between them. Hence, it would be in the interest of justice to quash the aforementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
