This public interest petition filed by the Ranjit Nagar Commercial Complex Welfare Association makes a prayer for issuance of a direction to remove the alleged blockades placed by the respondents at Ranjit Nagar - Patel Nagar crossing near Shadipur Metro Station between pillar no. 234 to 235.

It has been argued by learned counsel for the Petitioner-society that on account of the existing blockade, free flow of traffic is being obstructed The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. and the same is resulting in accidents causing injuries to the pedestrians, especially the children.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has referred to an RTI reply given under the Right to Information Act by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic vide his letter dated 19.04.2016 by which it has been informed that with a view to ensure smooth traffic, the area was surveyed and on 17.06.2015, certain cut was temporarily closed on experimental basis. However, the said experiment has proved to be fruitful and has yielded good results.

It has been stated by learned counsel for the petitioner that for conducting the inspection and survey, as per the reply dated 19.04.2016, no written orders were passed by the officials concerned. 5.
In our opinion, such a plea is not tenable for the reason that the cut in question appears to have been closed only for easing the traffic0020in the area. In any case, management of traffic is the exclusive preserve of the Traffic Police.

Accordingly, we are not inclined to interfere with the present PIL Petition. We, however, provide that the petitioner may raise its grievances, if any, to the appropriate authority of the Traffic Police of Delhi who shall look into the same and take an appropriate decision. 7.
