The present appeal under Section 374 of the CrPC has been filed by Appellant - Chira Singh, assailing the judgment of conviction dated 21st August, 2002 and order on sentence dated 23rd August, 2002, passed by ASJ, Tis Hazari Courts, in S.C. No. 34/20014 arising out of FIR No. 271/96, under Sections 302/201/34 IPC, registered at P.S. S.P Badli, whereby the Appellant was convicted for the offences punishable under Sections 302/201/34 of the IPC.

A Status Report dated 15th July, 2024 has been filed stating that the Appellant - Mr. Chira Singh was also known as Mr. Jangeer Singh at his home and amongst his neighbours. In view of the fact that the Appellant has passed away, the appeal abates and is, accordingly, disposed of.
