This petition has been filed with the following prayers: "It is, therefore, most respectfully submitted that this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to:

Mr. Arvind Kumar Shukla, learned counsel for the petitioners places reliance on Annexure-P8 to contend the judgment in the case of W.P.(C) 3722/2022 INSPR (MIN) Vijay Kumar Sharma and Ors. Vs Union of India and Ors shall cover the present case in favour of the petitioners herein.

On the other hand, Ms. Kamakshi Sehgal, learned counsel for the respondents contest the submission by placing before us a judgment of the full bench in W.P.(C) 84/2019 Jai Mangal Rai vs Union of India and Ors. decided on 05.01.2026 to contend that the petitioners are not entitled to any relief.

Appropriate shall be that the respondents shall consider the present petition as a representation and decide the same by a reasoned order within a period of eight weeks from today.

Accordingly, the petition along with pending application(s), if any, is disposed of.
