By way of the instant petition, the petitioner seeks quashing of FIR No. 213/2013 dated 23.04.2013 registered at Police Station Rajouri Garden West, Delhi for the commission of offence punishable under Section 326 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and Section 25 of Arms Act, 1959. 4.

Issue notice. Mr. Rajkumar, the learned APP accepts notice on behalf of the State.

The petitioner and respondent no. 2 are present before this Court. The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

They have been identified by their counsels and concerned Investigating Officer (IO), from Police Station Rajouri Garden, Delhi. 6.

Brief facts of the case are that on 23.04.2013, an altercation had taken place between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 in which the petitioner had physically manhandled respondent no. 2, who had received grievous injuries on his face. It is stated that on the abovesaid allegations, respondent no. 2 had got registered a complaint before the concerned Police Station and on the basis of the aforesaid, the present FIR came to be registered. It is stated that with intervention of the family and friends, the parties have now amicably settled their dispute vide Compromise Deed dated 06.02.2025. 7.

The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner states that both the parties have amicably settled the present matter vide Compromise Deed dated 06.02.2025, entered between them.

On a query made by this Court, respondent no.2 who has been identified by the concerned IO, has categorically stated that he has entered into compromise out of his own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. It is also stated by respondent no. 2 that the entire dispute has been amicably settled between the parties. Respondent no. 2 further states that he has no objection if the present FIR is quashed. 9.

It is also stated that the FIR in this case came to be registered in the year 2013 and the parties had compromised the present matter in the year 2014. However, the previous counsel did not file the quashing petition. This Court is also informed that the charges have been framed in this case and the case was not proceeded for recording of evidence in the last 12 years. 10.

purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. 11.

Accordingly, FIR bearing no. 213/2013 dated 23.04.2013 registered at Police Station Rajouri Garden West, Delhi for the commission of offence punishable under Section 326 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and Section 25 of Arms Act, 1959 and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed subject to the petitioner depositing cost of Rs.20,000/- with the Advocates Welfare Fund, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi within a period of seven days and the compliance report of the same be filed with the Registry of this Court.

In view of the above, the present petition stands disposed of. 13.
