By this writ petition, Petitioner seeks a direction to the Respondent to decide his representation dated 27.12.2024 by which the Petitioner has sought Electoral Rolls for the Lok Sabha and the Vidhan Sabha elections conducted in the States of Haryana and Maharashtra from 2009 to 2024. 4.

seeking supply of Electoral Rolls for the Lok Sabha and the Vidhan Sabha elections conducted in the States of Haryana and Maharashtra from 20092024, has not been decided till date by the Respondent despite passage of nearly two months. It is candidly submitted that after filing of this writ petition, copy of letter dated 24.02.2025 has been received by the Petitioner whereby the Respondent has written to the respective Chief Electoral Officers to decide the representation in accordance with law by speaking orders, however, no time limit has been circumscribed for deciding the representation. The limited relief sought by the Petitioner is for decision on his representation within a time bound manner. 7.
Learned counsel appearing on behalf of Respondent on advance copy of the writ petition, on instructions, submits that Electoral Rolls have been sought for the period commencing 2009 and therefore, at least a period of three months is required to decide the representation. 8.
In light of the above, this writ petition is disposed of, without entering into the merits of the case, directing the Respondent to decide the representation dated 27.12.2024 as expeditiously as possible and not later than three months from today, as assured.

In case of any surviving/further grievance, Petitioner will be at liberty to take recourse to appropriate legal remedies and raise all contentions highlighted in this writ petition at the appropriate stage. 10.
All rights and contentions of the parties are left open.
