The present petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for quashing of FIR No. 213/2012, dated 23.10.2012, registered at Police Station Pahar Ganj, for offences under Sections 420/467/468/471 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the proceedings are pending since the year 2012. He submits that even though the chargesheet was filed in the year 2022, the charges are yet to be framed.

in the present case and has been exonerated in the Departmental proceedings, however, the pendency of the proceedings in the present FIR is causing grave prejudice as the petitioner is 72 years old, and has an unblemished record.

He submits that he would be satisfied if the learned Trial Court is directed to expedite the proceedings. 7.
In view of the above, the learned Trial Court is requested to expedite the proceedings and hear the arguments on charges expeditiously and, preferably, on the next date of hearing. 8.
