O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 6/2018 This is a petition under Section 29 (A) (ii) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, the advance copy has been duly served upon the respondent on 11.01.2018. But none appears for the respondent.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the period of arbitral proceedings is going to expire on 04.02.2018 and as such seeks extension of the arbitral proceedings period. In the circumstances, the time for conducting the arbitral proceedings before the learned arbitrator is extended for further six months from 04.02.2018. The petition stands disposed of.
