This writ petition is directed against order dated 31st December, 2018, whereby the Directorate of Education held that the re-employment of Sh. Manohar Lal, Principal, Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, beyond the age of superannuation was illegal.

The operation of the impugned order was stayed by this Court by order dated 11th January, 2019.

During the pendency of the present proceedings, the extended term of Sh. Manohar Lal has come to an end.

In view of the above, the challenge to the impugned order has been rendered infructuous. The issue that survives is purely academic, and this Court finds no reason to undertake an adjudication thereon.
