After hearing arguments for some time, learned counsel for petitioner does not press for permanent exemption from personal appearance of the petitioner herein. She, however, submits that in case there is some genuine or compelling reason, petitioner may be permitted to file application seeking exemption from personal appearance for any such particular date. 2.

Learned Addl. P.P. for State has no objection to the above and she, rather, submits that on previous occasions, petitioner herein was permitted to appear through videoconferencing as he had not disputed his identity. 3.

In view of the above, present petition is disposed of as not pressed with the liberty, as prayed for. In case any such application is moved seeking exemption from personal appearance for any particular date, learned Trial Court shall consider the same, in accordance with law, while giving due opportunity of hearing to both the sides.
