This petition has been filed by the petitioner with the following prayers:- a) issue of a writ of mandamus directing the Respondents to accept the resignation of the Petitioner dated 20.12.2023 as reminded on 06.02.2024 under termination of service Rule 5

(1) (a) (b) so as to enable the petitioner to accept the offer of appointment before 20.02.2024 issued by Director General CRPF vide their letter No. A.VI-9/2024Pers(AC)/Civil Engr. dated 16.01.2024 for the post of Assistant Commandant (Civil /Engineer) in CRPF at pay Matrix Label 10 (as per sixth pay commission grade pay being 5400 Class 1 Group A Gazetted) by issuing a Discharge Certificate since no former relieving order is necessary on expiry of notice period.

The prayers have become infructuous, in as much as the respondents have accepted the resignation of the petitioner and issued the release order dated February 19, 2024.
