This petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (BNSS), praying for a Writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents to produce the husband of the petitioner, namely Mr. Madan Kumar Ray, S/o Damodar Ray, and the brother of the petitioner, namely Mr. Prem Kumar Jha, S/o Jagannath Jha, who were stated to be illegally detained by the police officials in the intervening night of 20th and 21st February, 2026. 2.

This Court, upon the petition being mentioned, passed detailed order on 22.02.2026. Pursuant thereto, the learned Standing Counsel has handed over a copy of the affidavit dated 23.02.2026, which is taken on record.

The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the two persons named above have now returned home. She, however, submits that they were in illegal custody of the Delhi Police during the intervening period till 5 PM on 22.02.2026.

Without making any comment on the rival submissions, as the missing persons are now with the petitioner, we dispose of this petition leaving it open to the petitioner/these persons to avail of the legal remedies, in case so advised on other aspects/reliefs. 6.

The petition accordingly stands disposed of.
