The present petitions have been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking quashing of FIR No.589/2022 under Sections 323/341/308/34 IPC registered at Police Station Govind Puri, Delhi on the ground that the parties have amicably settled their disputes.

As per the allegations levelled in the FIR, on 15.08.2022 at around 10 PM, the petitioners and respondent Nos.2-5 got into a scuffle wherein the former beat the latter with iron rods.

Ms. Manjit Arya, learned APP for the State submits that in the present case the petitioners are the only accused persons and respondent Nos. 2 to 5 are the only complainant/victims.

Learned counsels for the parties submit that with the intervention of relative, friends and respectable members of the society, the parties have amicably settled their disputes vide Settlement/Compromise Deed dated 09.11.2022. As per the terms of settlement, respondent Nos.2-5 are left with no claim or grievance against the petitioners. They further submit that no other proceedings are pending between the parties. 5.
The petitioners and respondent Nos. 2 to 5, who are present in the Court, are identified by their respective counsels as well as by the Investigating Officer.

Respondent Nos.2 to 5 state that they have entered into the aforementioned Deed out of their own free will, volition and without any coercion. They also state that they have no objection if the present FIR and the consequent proceedings are quashed.

The parties shall remain bound by the statements and undertaking made in Court today.

In view of the above facts and since no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the present criminal proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed, subject to cumulative cost of Rs.10,000/- to be deposited by the petitioners with Delhi State Legal Services Authority within two weeks from today. The amount so deposited shall be utilized by the Delhi State Legal Services Authority for providing counselling/psychological support to POSCO victims requiring such assistance.

Proof evidencing receipt of deposit shall be filed with the Investigating Officer as well as in Court.
