The petitioners have filed the present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking protection from respondent No. 1-State, as they apprehend a threat to their lives from respondent Nos. 2 to 4, who are family members of petitioner No. 1.

The Aadhaar Cards of both petitioners have been placed on record, which reflect their dates of birth as 23.09.2007 [petitioner No. 1] and 10.03.2003 [petitioner No. 2]. They have, therefore, both attained the age of majority. It is contended that the petitioners solemnised their marriage W.P.(CRL) 666/2026 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. at an Arya Samaj Mandir on 17.02.2026. A copy of the marriage certificate dated 17.02.2026 issued by Arya Samaj Vasvik Hindu Vivah Trust has been annexed to the petition.

In the writ petition, it is further stated that the family members of petitioner No. 1 thereafter extended threats and attempted to kidnap petitioner No. 1. Specific incidents dated 18.02.2026 and 21.02.2026 have been referred to. Although the petitioners claim to have reported these incidents to the concerned police station, it is admitted that no written complaint has been made.

In any event, Mr. Sanjay Lao, learned Standing Counsel for the State, who appears on advance notice, submits that in the event any specific incident is reported, necessary action shall be taken in accordance with law. He further submits that the telephone numbers of the Beat Constable and the Station House Officer of the jurisdictional police station shall be provided to the petitioners during the course of the day, so that they may contact them in case of any exigency. 5.
No further orders are sought in this writ petition, which stands disposed of.
