% 14.01.2019 Respondent no.2 Smt. Chanchal Soni is present in Court and has been identified by SI Ombir Singh of police station Welcome. Respondent no.2 says that she has settled the matter with petitioners of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion and has no objection in case the FIR No.418/2015 under Sections 323/354/354A/506/509/34 IPC is quashed. Affidavit of respondent no.2 is also on record to this effect. It is submitted that petitioners and respondent no.2 have amicably settled the matter vide Settlement Deed dated 05.01.2019, therefore, aforesaid FIR may be quashed.
Keeping in mind that petitioners and respondent no.2 have amicably settled their disputes, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in
keeping the present criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
