By way of present petition, the petitioner is seeking quashing of FIR bearing No. 730/2022, registered at Police Station Pandav Nagar, Delhi, for the offences punishable under Sections 498A/406/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter 'IPC').

Issue notice. Mr. Rahul Tyagi, the learned ASC accepts notice on behalf of the State.

married to respondent no. 2 as per Hindu rites and rituals. On 14.04.2022, due to some differences, respondent no. 2 had started living separately. On the complaint of respondent no. 2, the present FIR bearing No. 730/2022 was registered at Police Station Pandav Nagar, Delhi. 6.
On 28.06.2024, during the pendency of the present case, the parties amicably settled their disputes before the Mediation Centre, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi. On 17.08.2024, statements of petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 were recorded before the concerned Court. On 18.10.2024, the decree of dissolution of marriage under Section 13(B)(2) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 was granted by the concerned Court. 7.
The concerned Joint Registrar (Judicial) vide his order dated 28.02.2025 has verified the veracity and genuineness of settlement entered into between the parties, and the statement of respondent no. 2 was recorded on 14.02.2025.

The parties are present through video-conferencing and have been identified by their counsels and Investigating Officer concerned. 9.
The complainant who is present through video-conferencing states that she has no objection, if the present FIR is quashed. 10.
In view of the above facts that the parties have amicably resolved their differences out of their own free will and without any coercion and also the fact that the present matter emanates from a family dispute, this Court is of the opinion that no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between the parties. Hence, it would be in the interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR, and the proceedings pursuant thereto. Moreover, there is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

Accordingly, FIR bearing No. 730/2022, registered at Police Station Pandav Nagar, Delhi, for the offences punishable under Sections 498A/406/34 of IPC is quashed, along with all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom.
