Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the present petition inasmuch as the authority which now has the jurisdiction to carry out the change in the name of the mutation in its record is the MCD. This is for the reason that the village Saidulajab was urbanized way back by way of notification dated 20.11.2019. In view of the judgment of Mohinder Singh Through LRs vs. Narain Singh reported in 2023 SCC OnLine SC 261, the petitioner may have to approach the Municipal Corporation of Delhi at the first instance.
