The present petition is filed under Section 9 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (for short „the Act‟) seeking interim measures. 2.

On 19.03.2025, the following order was passed:- "1.

Learned counsel for the respondents seeks time to address arguments.

The reply of the respondent is also not on record. Let the same be placed on record.

3.

On instructions, it is stated by the respondent that no precipitative steps will be taken against the petitioner till the next date of hearing.

List on 08.04.2025."

Since a petition under Section 11 of the Act has been allowed and the arbitrator is appointed, this petition is converted into a petition under Section 17 of the Act.

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that there is a requirement of time-bound completion of the work due to national importance. Further, that the arbitrator may take a decision on the petition under Section 17 of the Act at the earliest.

This petition is disposed of by converting the petition into a petition under Section 17 of the Act.

There is no doubt that on a request being made before the arbitrator, the application for interim relief shall be decided expeditiously with the cooperation of the parties on the next date. Pending application is also disposed of.
