These are writ petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following prayers:- W.P.(C) 2622/2026 "a. Issue appropriate writ/order/directions in the nature of mandamus directing Respondent No 3 to quash the Detainee List for the 6th Semester (2024-2025) dated 23/05/2025 whereby Petitioners have been detained from appearing in their 6th semester examination.

University of Delhi c. Issue appropriate writ/order/directions in the nature of mandamus directing Respondents to declare the result of the petitioners for the already appeared 6th semester examinations (2024-2025) with immediate effect.

d. Issue appropriate writ/order/directions in the nature of mandamus directing Respondents to conduct a special supplementary examination for paper code LB- (Professional Ethics and Accounting System).

e. Issue appropriate writ/order/directions in the nature of mandamus and direct the Respondents to pay the cost of this petition to the petitioners."

W.P.(C) 2749/2026 "a. Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction to quash and set aside order dated 22.09.2025 bearing Ref No. Estab (T)/330/Law/2093 issued by Respondent University.

b. Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction directing the Respondent University to forthwith declare the results of the Petitioners for the Semester LL.B Examinations held in May-June 2025, which have been illegally withheld;"

W.P.(C) 2735/2026 "a. Issue appropriate writ/order/directions in the nature of mandamus directing Respondent No 3 to quash the Detainee List for 2nd & 4th Semester (2024-2025) dated 23/05/2025 whereby The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

Petitioners have been detained from appearing in their semester examination.

b. Issue a writ of Mandamus, or any other appropriate writ, order, or direction, and thereby quash and set aside the order dated 22/09/2025 passed by the Assistant Registrar (Estab.-T), University of Delhi c. Issue appropriate writ/order/directions in the nature of mandamus directing Respondents to declare the result of the petitioners for the already appeared with immediate effect. d. Issue appropriate writ/order/directions in the nature of mandamus directing Respondents to promote them to the next academic session in accordance with the university promotion rules.

e. Issue appropriate writ/order/directions in the nature of mandamus and direct the Respondents to pay the cost of this petition to the petitioners"

For the reasons stated in the petitions, issue notice. 3.

Mr. Rupal, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the University of Delhi/ respondent Nos. 1, 2 and 3. Mr. Singh, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of respondent No. 4.

In the present matters, the petitioners were detained in their exam due to shortage of attendance in June 2025.

Since the shortage of attendance is no longer a criteria for detaining students in Law Faculty (Refer: judgement dated 15.01.2026 passed in W.P.(C) 13273/2025 and connected matters and Suicide Committed by Sushant Rohilla, Law Student of I.P. Del 7920), the consequential benefits shall ensue in favour of the petitioners and the results will be declared for the papers they have already appeared. 6.

In case there is any subsequent cause of action, needless to add, the same will be a fresh cause of action and the petitioners will be entitled to maintain their petitions.

The present petitions are disposed of in the aforesaid terms, along with pending applications, if any.
