O R D E R

A Coordinate Bench of this Court on 17.08.2023 passed the following directions:

"1. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that post filing of the present petitions, the DSIIDC is considering similar applications for conversion. He submits that without prejudice to the rights and contentions of the petitioner(s) in the present petition(s), the petitioner(s) will move an appropriate application before the DSIIDC in this regard.

2. In case the petitioner(s) files such application(s) before the DSIIDC, the DSIIDC shall consider such application(s) of the petitioner(s) without being influenced by the fact of the pendency of the present writ petition(s). The decision of the DSIIDC shall be communicated to the petitioner(s) within a period of eight weeks of the receipt of such application(s) from the petitioner(s)."

Learned Counsel for the Petitioner submits that thereafter the Petitioner had filed an appropriate application for conversion before The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Respondent No.2/DSIIDC on 12.09.2023.

2.1 Learned Counsel for the Respondent No.2/DSIIDC submits that they need further time to decide the same.

Learned Counsel for the Petitioner rightly pointed out that the directions were passed on 17.08.2023 and more than a year has passed, since the filing of the application. However, he is amenable if some short time is granted.

The present Petition is accordingly disposed of, directing the Respondents to decide the representation of the Petitioner within a period of 12 weeks from today.

The decision of the Respondents shall be communicated to the Petitioner via acknowledged post.
