This is a writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following prayers:- "(a) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus quashing the Impugned Notifications dated 04.09.2025 and 15.09.2025 issued by the Respondent No. 2 under the aegis of Respondent No.1 in so far as it does not provide for registration for additional subject to private candidates;
(b) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus directing the Respondent No.2 under the aegis of Respondent The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. No.1 to permit private candidates including the Petitioners to register for examination in additional subject category; (c) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus directing the Respondent No. 2 under the aegis of Respondent No.1 to permit the Petitioners and other similarly placed students to appear in the CBSE examination as private candidates;
(d) Issue rule nisi in terms of prayer clause (a), (b) and (c) above;"

The matter is covered by the judgment in W.P.(C) 15086/2025, dated 05.02.2026 upheld by the Division Bench in judgment passed in LPA 72/2026, dated 19.02.2026.

Granting the same relief, the petition is allowed, along with pending applications, if any.

The required steps shall be taken within 1 week from the date of uploading of this order.
