Mr. Peeyoosh Kalra, learned Additional Standing Counsel for Government of NCT of Delhi, submits that the appellant deposited Rs.2,84,645/- with the Commissioner, Employees' Compensation on 14th March, 2014 and the same was deposited in the current amount of the Commissioner, Employees' Compensation. It is further submitted that the said amount was put in fixed deposit on 24th March, 2015. 2.
Due to the delay of more than one year in keeping the aforesaid amount in fixed deposit, the respondent has lost interest which he would have been entitled to in this matter. The respondent is 100% disabled person and he cannot be denied the interest which Rs.2,84,645/- would have earned if kept in fixed deposit.

Before proceeding further, in this matter, all the Commissioners, Employees' Compensation are directed to file the affidavit to place on record how much money of the poor victims of the accidents was deposited
in this manner in their current account in the last five years. 4.
Mr. Peeyoosh Kalra shall take up this matter with the highest authorities of Government of NCT of Delhi to ascertain the persons responsible for default in not keeping the compensation amount in fixed deposit.
Mr. Kalra shall also suggest how to compensate the poor respondent in this case.
