By way of the present application, the applicant seeks extension of interim bail in connection with FIR No. 26/2025 dated 16.03.2025, registered at Police Station Chanakyapuri under Sections 109(1), 115(2), 126(2), 333, and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 ["BNS"]. Charge under Section 103(1) of BNS was subsequently added in the charge-sheet dated 10.06.2025.

The applicant has been on interim bail since 25.09.2025, which was last extended by an order dated 23.01.2026 for a period of four weeks. The interim bail granted to her, has already expired on 22.02.2026. 3.
The applicant approached the Sessions Court for an extension of interim bail by an application dated 16.02.2026. Although the application was not placed on record, a copy has been handed over by Ms. Manjeet Arya, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State, and is taken on record.

It appears that the Sessions Court did not find any documents to support the applicant's request for an extension and, accordingly, rejected the same vide order dated 21.02.2026 with the following observations: " 14. Further alternatively, Ld.Counsel for the applicant/accused has sought extension of interim bail to take care of new born child. Record reveals that earlier interim bail granted to the applicant /accused was extended considering the cold weather condition, however, the weather conditions have now been improved. Moreover, no further medical documents have been filed on record to claim further extension of interim bail.
15. Keeping in view the entire facts and circumstances of the present case, this Court find no reason to inclined bail to the applicant/accused. Accordingly, the present application is dismissed.
Singh the applicant/accused is stated to be on interim bail which expiring tomorrow i.e. 22.02.2026. Applicant/accused is directed to surrender immediately on expiry of period of interim bail."

Alongwith the present petition, the applicant has placed on record a subsequent prescription dated 22.02.2026, which is entirely illegible, and from which I am unable to ascertain the nature of the child's ailment, the diagnosis, or the requisite treatment.

Be that as it may, the prescription has evidently been issued after the applicant's last request for an extension was rejected by the Sessions Court. with the subsequent medical records. The applicant is, accordingly, at liberty to move the Sessions Court with the requisite medical documents. 7.
The present bail application is disposed of, with liberty as aforesaid.

It is clarified that the observations made herein are solely for the purpose of adjudication of the present bail application and shall not be construed as an expression of opinion on the merits of the case, nor shall they prejudice the rights and contentions of the parties at any stage of the proceedings.
