Mr. Gurmehar S. Sistani accepts notice on behalf of the respondent. 4.

Learned counsel for the respondent says that he does not wish to file a reply as he does not oppose the prayer made in the petition for extension of time.

As per the record placed before me, the sole Arbitrator was appointed to adjudicate the disputes between the parties on 06.09.2017. 6.

The learned Arbitrator accepted his appointment on 09.09.2017. O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 18/2019

Since the arbitration proceedings could not be concluded within the statutory period of 12 months, parties mutually agreed to extension of time by a further period of 6 months at the proceedings held on 09.07.2018, albeit, with effect from 07.09.2018.

The period of 6 months would, thus, come to an end on 06.03.2019. 9.

I am informed by counsel for the parties that matter is at the stage of arguments.

Having regard to the aforesaid, I am of the view that two months extension should suffice.

10.1 It is ordered accordingly.

The period of two months will commence, though, from 06.03.2019. 12.
