The present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, in the nature of habeas corpus has been filed by the Petitioner - Smt. Zuweda, the mother seeking production of her missing daughter. 4.
The case of Petitioner is that her daughter is about 19 years of age and she was pursuing her computer classes at Pul Prahaladpur, New Delhi. According to the Petitioner, her daughter was being threatened by the Respondent No.5 and being coerced for getting married. Respondent No.5 was also attending the above stated computer classes. Petitioner, on 29th January, 2025, the Respondent No.5 took away the Petitioner's daughter and attempts were made to search for her. Since she was not found, a complaint was lodged with SHO PS Pul Prahladpur on 30th January, 2025.

Today, upon advance service of the petition, Mr. Sanjay Lao, ld. Standing Counsel (Crl.) has appeared and handed over a status report dated 17th February, 2025 in Court. The same is taken on record. According to the said status report, the Petitioner's daughter got married with Respondent No.5 on 29th January,2025. Certificate of marriage of both the girl and Respondent No.5 as also the certificate of conversion of the girl has been handed over in Court and the same is taken on record. Both the Respondent No.5 and girl are present in Court today. Their Aadhar cards have also been seen and it is observed that they both are major. They are also pursuing B.A. programme in Delhi University and are in their 2nd year of programme. 6.
The girl clearly states that she got married to Respondent No.5 on her own free Will. She wishes to live with her husband and does not wish to go back to her parents. In view of these facts, the Court is of the opinion that, no further orders are called for in the present petition. 7.
SHO PS Pul Prahladpur shall speak to the parents of the girl and counsel them not to extend any threats to the couple. SHO shall also periodically check about the well-being of the couple. The number of a constable of the said police station be provided to the girl and Respondent No.5 so that in case of any requirement, they can call the said constable. 8.
Ld. Counsel for the Petitioner submits that the Petitioner wishes to speak to the daughter.
