Petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India has been filed on behalf of the petitioner seeking following relief: "a) Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ directing the respondents no .1 to 4 to protect right to life and liberty of petitioner which is at stake at the hands of respondents no.5 and 6 and their other accomplices." 4.
Learned counsel on behalf of the State submits that the status report has been filed.
