% 11.03.2019 Crl.M.A. 3960/2019 (direction) This is a petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C for making an appropriate direction of protection to the concerned police authorities to protect the life of the petitioners, was filed in the background that the petitioner No. 1/Gulfasa got married to petitioner No. 2 Danish Mansuri on 23.11.2017 but on 14.01.2019 they were attacked by respondent No. 3. On 15.01.2019, when the petitioners went to the police station to narrate the whole story and also gave a written complaint, no action was taken by the police authorities. Vide order dated 17.01.2019, the petitioner Nos. 1 and 2 were afforded protection and the writ petition was disposed of.

In the disposed of writ petition, the application dated 31.01.2019

under Section 482 Cr.P.C to give direction to respondent Nos. 1 and 2 for following the order dated 17.01.2019 was moved praying that ASI Pawan Kumar from New Usman Pur Police Station came to the house of the petitioners along with respondent No. 3 and threatened to send the petitioners to jail.

Heard.

Mr.Rahul Mehra, learned Standing Counsel (Crl.), appearing on behalf of the Delhi Police, submits that SHO PS Khajuri Khas has been providing protection to the petitioners and has also been visiting the residence of the petitioners along with beat staff. The contact numbers of SHO/Khajuri Khas Police Station, beat staff and lady officer have also been provided to the petitioners, which numbers are operational 24x7 so that in case of any exigency, protection can be provided to the petitioners, if so required. Moreso, the statement of petitioner No. 1 has been recorded, who has stated that she is living happily with her husband. The petitioners may seek appropriate remedy against ASI Pawan Kumar, if any, in accordance with law.
