% 17.01.2019 CRL.M.A. 905/2019 (Exemption) Exemption allowed, subject to all just exceptions. The application stands disposed-off.

W.P.(CRL) 130/2019 Since the petitioner does not have a counsel, accordingly, Mr. Rudra Pratap, Advocate, who is present in Court, is appointed as his counsel for the day. He states upon, instructions, that there is a delay of almost nine years in the investigation of the case.

Issue notice. A Status Report has been handed over to the Court signed by the Inspector, Anti Corruption Branch to the effect that the pendency of the investigation was primarily on account of the complainant not being available. He is a resident of Singapore and his voice sample was

not available. His voice sample is to be taken on 31.01.2019 or any time earlier. The same would then be examined forensically, to compare the earlier voice recordings between the parties. The learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State assures the Court that the investigation shall be completed within one month of the receipt of FSL Report.

In the circumstances, the Forensic Science Lab, Rohini is directed to send its report within a fortnight of such samples being forwarded to it by the police.

In view of the above, the learned counsel for the petitioner does not press the petition any further.
