Learned counsel for petitioner joins the proceedings through video conferencing.

Petitioner is, however, present in person.

Petitioner seeks initiation of contempt proceedings against respondent for wilful disobedience of the specific directions contained in order dated 23.10.2024 passed by learned Coordinate Bench of this Court in W.P.(C) No. 11756/2024.

It is submitted that learned counsel for MCD had assured the Court that the action would be taken expeditiously upon consideration of reply received to the show-cause notice in the question.

Learned counsel for respondents appear advance notice and accepts notice.

concerned owner/occupier has also been received. He submits that matter is under active consideration and appropriate decision shall be taken including passing of demolition order, if required, within six weeks from today. 7.

Mr. Ajay Jain, learned counsel for Delhi Police submits that as and when any communication is received for providing of requisite police assistance, it shall be ensured that the same is provided without further delay. 8.

In view of the above, learned counsel for petitioner, at the moment, does not press the present petition. He, however, seeks liberty to revive the same by filing appropriate application, in case, no further action is carried out by MCD within the period as undertaken above. 9.

Petition stands disposed of in aforesaid terms. 10.

Liberty, as prayed, is granted.

Needless to say, the respondent shall inform the petitioner about the proposed action by sending appropriate communication to the petitioner as well as to the learned counsel for petitioner.
