This is a writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following prayer(s):- "a) Issue a writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ/order in the nature of a writ of Mandamus for directing the respondent No. 2 to decide the representation dated 10.02.2024 which is in continuation to the previous representations. ... "

The brief facts are that the petitioner society is running a school namely, Dashmesh Public School, which is a minority status institution. 3.

land situated adjacent to the Gurudwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha, C-Block, Vivek Vihar, Phase I, Delhi.

The petitioner made continuous representations to the Delhi Development Authority ("DDA"), for allotment of the said land. 5.

The petitioner also moved representation dated 10.02.2024 before the Vice-Chairman of DDA requesting for the allotment of the said land. 6.

The DDA has not decided the petitioner's representation. 7.

Hence, the present petition.

Ms. Gaba, learned counsel for the petitioner, states that the representation of the petitioner dated 10.02.2024 has not been considered, despite best efforts.

The petitioner by virtue of the said representation is seeking formal allotment of the said land from respondent No. 2/DDA at current market price or on lease for running the school.

The petitioner is a minority school having strength of approximately 1000 students.

For the said reasons, the petition is allowed and the respondent No.2/ DDA shall dispose of the representation dated 10.02.2024 of the petitioner expeditiously and not later than 8 weeks from today. 12.

Before deciding the representation, the respondent No.2/ DDA shall also give a personal hearing to the representative of the petitioner. 13.

The petition is disposed of in aforesaid terms, along with pending applications, if any.
