1. Exemption allowed, subject to all just exceptions. W.P.(C) 500/2019 & CM APPL. 2319/2019

2. The Petitioner, who joined the Air Force as airman on 16th June 2003, is resisting a movement order which requires him to proceed to AFS Jorhat, Assam by 21st January, 2019.

3. The Court has considered the petition as well as the grounds set out therein. It has also heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and the Respondents who appeared on the advance notice. W.P.(C) 500/2019

4. The ground of the Petitioner's father's illness does not survive any longer since his father expired on 11th November, 2018.

5. The other ground concerns his sister's marriage. However, learned counsel for the Respondents informs the Court that notwithstanding that 10 years of service has not been completed yet by the Petitioner, he was indulged with AFS posting in Pune, initially for a period of three years which was again extended by two years.

6. In the circumstances, the Court is not inclined to interfere with the movement order of 8th January, 2019.

7. The petition along with the pending application is dismissed. S. MURALIDHAR, J.
