Pursuant to previous order of this Court dated 12th November, 2024, petitioner has paid the settlement amount of Rs. 8.25 lacs to respondent no. 2. 2.
Both the petitioner and respondent no.2 are present in Court and are duly identified by the IO.

In these proceedings under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, the petitioner was convicted vide judgement dated 21st July, 2018, and awarded 6 months simple imprisonment and compensation of Rs. 5 lacs along with interest vide order dated 31st July, 2018. 4.
In view of the settlement has arrived at between the parties before the Delhi High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre on 13th April, 2022, and having received the settlement amount, the complaint stands compounded. 5.

Considering that the petitioner had deposited an amount of Rs. 25,000/- before the Trial Court which was kept in a fixed deposit, the same be refunded to him along with accrued interest. Petitioner shall take steps in accordance with law in this regard.
