% 21.01.2019 It is submitted that petitioners and respondent no. 2 are known to each other being residents of same locality. A quarrel took place between them on some trivial issues which led to registration of FIR No. 476/2014 under Sections 323/354/354B/506/34 IPC against the petitioners at police station Lajpat Nagar, on the complaint of respondent no. 2. With the interventions of their common friends and other family members, petitioners and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably vide Memorandum of Understanding dated 09.01.2019, therefore, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom may be quashed. Respondent

no. 2 is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Suruchi of police station Lajpat Nagar. She submits that she has settled the matter with petitioners of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion and has no objection in case the FIR is quashed. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between petitioners and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
