% 21.01.2019 Present FIR No. 378/2016 under Section 354 IPC was registered against the petitioner at police station Jagat Puri, on the complaint of respondent no. 2. It is submitted that petitioner and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably vide Compromise Deed dated 07.01.2019, therefore, aforesaid FIR may be quashed. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court has been identified by SI Mukesh Yadav of police station Jagat Puri. She submits that she has settled the matter with petitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion and has no objection in case the aforesaid FIR is quashed.
Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be
served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
