By virtue of the present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (BNSS), the petitioner seeks issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing registration of FIR and fair investigation for cognizable offences under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.

At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks to withdraw the present FIR since the FIR has been registered yesterday. 3.
