% 21.01.2019 Present FIR No. 614/2014 under Sections 323/341/354/34 IPC was registered against the petitioners at police station Rajouri Garden, on the complaint of respondent no. 2.
It is submitted that petitioners and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably vide Memorandum of Understanding dated 18.01.2018, therefore, aforesaid FIR may be quashed. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Sanjeet Singh of police station Rajouri Garden. She submits that she has settled the matter with petitioners of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion and has no objection in case the FIR is quashed.
Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
