% 09.05.2017 In the admission form (Annexure P-3 at Page No. 24), name of the petitioner's mother has been spelled out as "HENNA ABBOT". Even in the Admit Card for the XII Class examination, issued by the respondent no.1, name of the petitioner's mother has been spelled out as "HENNA ABBOT". However, in the Registration Card of Class IX (Session 2013-14), that is, Annexure P-6, Grade Sheet-cum-Certificate of Performance for the Secondary School Examination (Session 2013-15) and Registration Card for Class XI for the academic session 2015-16 (Page 36), name of the petitioner's mother has been spelled as "HEENA ABBOT". In the passport of petitioner's mother also, her name has been

mentioned as "HENNA ABBOT".

It is, thus, evident that an inadvertent error has crept in the abovementioned three documents issued by the respondent no.1, which needs to be corrected as the same would cause great prejudice to the petitioner in pursing higher studies, if not corrected. Learned counsel for the petitioner points out that a Division Bench of this Court, in the similar circumstances, in W.P.(C) 2563/2017 titled Kumari Ananya Chowdhury vs. Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi & Ors. vide order dated 8th May, 2017 has ordered for the correction in the name.

For the foregoing reasons, respondent no.1 is directed to make the necessary corrections in the aforementioned three documents. Let original documents be submitted by the petitioner with the respondent no.1 within one week. Thereafter, respondent no.1 shall make the necessary corrections in the documents within three weeks and handover the same to the petitioner.

Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. Dasti.
