By way of the present petition, the petitioner is seeking following prayers:

"a. Call the Trial Court Record.

b. Issue an appropriate Writ/Order thereby directing the Trial Court i.e. Hon'ble Court of Ms. Shivali Bansal, Ld. ASJ, Dwarka District Court, New Delhi] to expedite and conclude the trial of the present case i.e FIR No. 779/19 registered u/s 302 IPC at P.S.: Dabri, in a fixed time frame on day to day basis, in the interest of Justice."

The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner states that the petitioner was arrested in the present case on 15.12.2019 and since then he has been languishing in jail in a capacity of under trial prisoner. It is stated that despite being the petitioner in custody for more than 6 years, the trial of the present case has not been concluded. It is also stated that out of 25 witnesses only 4 witnesses are yet to be examined. Therefore, it is prayed that this Court be pleased to direct the learned Trial Court to conclude the trial in the present case within a period of 8 months. 5.

This Court has heard the arguments addressed on behalf of the petitioner as well as the learned APP for the State. 6.

After hearing arguments and going through the case file, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the learned Trial Court concerned to conclude the trial in the present case within a period of 08 months provided that any unnecessary adjournments will not be sought by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

With the above direction, the present petition stands disposed of. 8.
