% 21.01.2019 Notice. Learned APP accepts notice for respondent no. 1. Since respondent no.2 is a minor, she is being represented through her mother Ms. Pooja Maan.

Complainant as well as her mother Ms. Pooja Maan are present in Court and accept notice. It is submitted that petitioners are related to Ms. Pooja Maan. It is further submitted that petitioners and respondent no. 2 through her mother Ms. Pooja Maan have settled their disputes amicably with the intervention of elders in the family. It is further submitted that FIR No. 591/2016 under Sections 323/506 IPC, Section 23 of

the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015, Sections 8/12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offence Act, 2012 and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom may be quashed, in view of the settlement. Ms. Pooja Maan as well as the complainant submit that they have settled the matter with the petitioners of their own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. They say that they are not willing to pursue the matter any further and the same may be quashed. Petitioner no.

3 has deposited `25,000/- with the Delhi High Court Staff Welfare Fund towards costs.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no. 2 through her mother Ms. Pooja Maan voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending.

Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
