By way of the present petition, the petitioners are seeking quashing of the FIR bearing no. 107/2019, registered at Police Station Kalindi Kunj, Delhi, for the commission of offences punishable under Sections 323/341/451/354/354B/506/509/34 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter 'IPC') and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom on the basis of settlement arrived at between the parties.

Briefly stated, facts of the present case are that the petitioners and respondent nos. 2 to 6 are neighbours in relation and on 31.03.2019, due to some misunderstanding between the petitioners and respondent nos. 2 to 6, a minor quarrel took place among them. Thereafter, on the complaint of the respondents, the present FIR came to be registered under the relevant sections against the petitioners and on the other hand a cross FIR bearing no. 106 was also registered against the petitioners by the respondents herein. Thereafter, with intervention of family and friends, both the parties have amicably settled the matter vide Compromise Deed dated 21.10.2024. 7.
On a query made by this Court, respondent nos.2 to 6 who have been identified by the concerned IO, have categorically stated that they have entered into compromise out of their own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. It is also stated by respondent nos. 2 to 6 that the entire dispute has been amicably settled between the parties. Respondent nos. 2 to 6 further state that they have no objection if the present FIR is quashed. 8.
In view of the above fact that the parties have amicably resolved their differences of their own free will, without any coercion and no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. 9.
