Issue notice. Mr. Rahul Tyagi, learned Additional Standing Counsel, accepts notice on behalf of the State. 2.

The petitioners have filed this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution, seeking protection in view of an apprehended threat from the family of petitioner No. 2.

The petitioners claim to have married each other according to customary practices on 18.12.2025, and have produced a certificate of registration of marriage issued by the Office of the District Magistrate, Kalkaji, South-East District, on 19.02.2026.

The parties have also handed up to the Court the Secondary School Examination Certificates of both petitioners, which reveal the date of birth of petitioner No. 1 as 09.07.2003, and of petitioner No. 2 as W.P.(CRL) 711/2026 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. 15.01.2003. Both petitioners appear to have attained majority. The petitioners have placed the said documents alongwith an affidavit, which is taken on record. A copy of the said documents has also been handed over to Mr. Tyagi.

In view of the above, Mr. Tyagi states that the telephone numbers of the concerned Station House Officer and Beat Constable will be provided to the petitioners, so that they may contact them in the event of any exigency.

No further orders are sought in this writ petition. 7.
