By way of the present petition filed under Section 29(A)(4) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ('A&C Act'), the petitioner seeks extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal (AT) for a period of 12 months w.e.f. 11.02.2025 for concluding the Arbitral proceedings and passing of the Award.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal has expired on 11.02.2025. He further submits that the mandate has been previously extended vide order 12.02.2024. Issue notice.

Learned counsel appears on behalf of the respondent on advance copy, accepts notice and submits that the respondent has no objection to the prayer made in the petition.

Considering the aforesaid request and the no objection given by the other side, the present petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for passing the award is extended for a period of 9 months, with effect from 11.02.2025. It is further observed that any proceedings conducted after the last mandate expired, shall also stand validated and regularised.
