This is a petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.PC, 1973 seeking quashing of F.I.R No. 58/2021 under Sections 289 of IPC registered at Police Station Dwarka Sector-23, District - Dwarka, New Delhi. 2.

As per the F.I.R, the dog of the petitioner bit the minor child of the respondent No. 2.

During the pendency of the proceedings, the parties have arrived at a settlement dated 25.01.2025, wherein the disputes have been settled between the parties and respondent No. 2 has agreed to give no objection in quashing of the F.I.R.

A sum of Rs. 5,000/- has been paid by the petitioner as compensation to respondent No. 2.

executed by the parties out of their own free will, volition and without any threat, force, undue influence or coercion. 6.

The petitioner and respondent No. 2 have joined through video conferencing mode and have been identified by Investigating Officer SI Mamta, Police Station Dwarka Sector 23.

The petitioner undertakes to be more careful with her dog in the future and tenders an unconditional apology.

Since the parties have arrived at a settlement and no disputes are pending, I am convinced that quashing of such proceedings on account of compromise would bring about peace and would secure ends of justice. The Court does not see any fruitful purpose if criminal proceedings are permitted to be prosecuted any further. It is a fit case for quashing. In this view of the matter, there is no reason to continue the proceedings.

In this view of the matter, F.I.R No. 58/2021 under Sections 289 of IPC registered at Police Station Dwarka Sector-23, District - Dwarka, New Delhi and consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
